Finding presence in our corner of Ubud

Nestled among rice fields on the edge of Ubud, Sedari is perfectly placed for unhurried walks to temples, markets and village cafés. This guide points you toward nearby places that nurture ritual, connection and presence.

Cultural & Spiritual

Goa Gajah Temple

On the western edge of Bedulu village, this archaeological site dates back to the 10th century. A carved demon mouth leads into a shallow meditation cave; outside, stone fountains depict Hindu angels and a courtyard features relics with both Hindu and Buddhist influences

Built where two streams meet, it was once a hermit’s retreat for prayer and contemplation.

Pura Gunung Lebah

Tucked at the foot of Campuhan Hill where two rivers meet, this 8th‑century temple complex feels hidden from the world. Surrounded by bamboo forest and ornate pavilions, it invites quiet reflection and offers a glimpse into Balinese devotion

Begin your walk here, pause at the shrines and listen to the river’s whisper before stepping onto the ridge path

Nature Walks

Campuhan Ridge Walk

Starting near Gunung Lebah Temple, this iconic trail meanders along a ridge with panoramic views of lush valleys and rolling hills. Most of the two‑kilometre path is paved and flat, making it an easy, free walk for all fitness levels.

Go at sunrise for cooler air and soft light, and let the greenery surround you

Tegalalang Rice Terraces

About 30 minutes north of Ubud, these UNESCO‑recognised terraces cascade down hillsides like a living staircase. Emerald‑green paddies stretch as far as the eye can see, embodying the centuries‑old subak irrigation system.

Arrive early to feel the morning mist on your skin and admire the harmonious blend of nature and human ingenuity.
